The Coordinator Operations assists with the daily management of the Colvin Recreation Center Seretean Wellness Center and Colvin Annex within the Department of Wellness. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe clean efficient and welcoming facilities while supporting operational excellence and risk management initiatives across the department.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily facility operations including staffing maintenance coordination and enforcement of policies and procedures.
• Recruiting hiring training scheduling supervising and evaluating student Operations Attendants Operations Supervisors and a Graduate Assistant Operations.
• Ensuring facilities meet high standards of cleanliness appearance and operational readiness through routine inspections.
• Supporting customer service excellence by ensuring facilities are welcoming clean safe and appropriately staffed.
• Assisting with payroll processing budgeting and inventory management for operational supplies safety equipment and facility resources.
• Contributing to risk management efforts through safety audits incident response procedures emergency preparedness planning and staff training.
• Monitoring facility compliance with departmental university and industry safety standards and best practices.
• Assisting with the development and delivery of safety training programs for student staff with an emphasis on emergency response hazard recognition and facility protocols.
• Providing on-site supervision during evening and weekend hours as part of departmental operational coverage as necessary.

• Bachelors

  Health Promotion Recreation Management Leisure Studies Exercise Science or another related field

  (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

• One year of related professional experience. A two-year Graduate Assistantship will be considered as 1-year of full-time experience.

Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.

Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:

CPR/AED/First Aid CPR/AED/First Aid instructor within 90 days of hire

Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:

Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally more

Computer experience: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Masters

  Recreation Management Leisure Studies or related degree

• Two to three years experience in recreation center operations to include hiring training and supervision of students. A completed two-year graduate assistantship in operations in a campus recreation setting. Two to three years of Operations experience in a supervisory environment.

Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:

Registered Collegiate Recreational Sports Professional (RCRSP)

Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:

Previous experience with time and attendance software.
