As a Global Facilities Operations Center Communications Coordinator (3rd Shift) you will be an active team member within the Global Facilities Operations Center (GFOC) driving critical information throughout our organization.

Our GFOC Communications Coordinators work at the crossroads of the daily information flow into and out of the IDEXX World Campus analyzing mining and connecting the dots between events and trends that affect business continuity. The ability to gather information identify trends and transform data into clear effective communication for the right audiences is a key part of this role.
In this role you will:
Monitor inputs from all IDEXX facilities both domestic and international and recognize potential business disruption concerns.
Draft and disseminate critical information regarding advisory or emergent situations through the most effective communication methods.
Develop and maintain current Global Facilities Operations databases and files that support projects process improvement and planning efforts.
Own and maintain the running log of relevant activities across the global IDEXX portfolio for our 24/7 Global Facilities Operations Center.
Write professional incident reports in a timely manner to support ongoing response efforts and future review.
Operate and serve as a subject matter expert for various software applications including access control surveillance mass notification and duty of care programs.
Partner with IDEXX Security Human Resources and leadership teams on sensitive personnel-related investigations and security concerns.
Conduct audits and tests of key IDEXX operational functions in partnership with the Facilities Team.
Provide excellent customer service as the front-line point of contact for internal and external IDEXX customers.
Notify facilities and maintenance teams of pertinent issues and assist in coordinating solutions as appropriate.
Monitor phones radios surveillance cameras alarms emergency management systems building automation systems and weather-related software issuing general and emergency notifications as needed.
Ensure compliance with IDEXX policies and applicable federal state and local regulations.
Respond to operational issues at the direction of the Global Facilities Operations Center Supervisor and perform related duties as required.
What Do You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you will need a passion for gathering analyzing and transforming information into actionable intelligence then communicating that information clearly and effectively. An analytical mindset and the ability to turn spreadsheets and data into trends and solutions are essential along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills time management and the ability to multitask are important for success in this position. All Global Facilities Operations Center team members are team-oriented proactive and focused on maintaining a positive solutions-driven attitude. Excellent customer service skills are imperative.
Candidates should have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and master new software platforms and applications.
A minimum of an Associates degree is required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply especially those with prior customer service internship leadership or other relevant experience.
Leadership experience or leadership potential is highly valued.
Schedule
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) 3rd shiftposition consisting of four 10-hour shifts. Wednesday Sunday 10pm 8am
The schedule is based on the business needs of a 24/7 Global Facilities Operations Center. All schedules include one traditional weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and holiday coverage.
Team members may be asked to cover additional shifts or portions of shifts as needed to maintain operational coverage.
This position is considered essential within the IDEXX organization and is fully on-site at the IDEXX World Campus in Westbrook Maine.
