The hiring range for these positions is $95000 to $160000 based on rank.

The University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Associate or Full Professor level. We welcome candidates with an earned doctorate in social work or a related social or health science discipline who demonstrate:

A collaborative spirit that advances interdisciplinary research and community-engaged partnerships
We are particularly interested in scholars whose work focuses on:
- Practice or services research with low-income or underserved individuals and families
- Health and behavioral health disparities
- Child welfare IPV and trauma work
- Community-engaged and translational research that bridges research practice and policy
- Advanced clinical intervention and/or research methodology
A PhD in social work or similar fields plus an MSW with at least two years of practice experience is required for teaching in the MSW program. Senior candidates (Associate/Full Professor) should demonstrate a record of leadership sustained extramural funding and a commitment to mentoring junior faculty and fostering inclusive academic communities.
