Do I want to do the roleThe Patient Representative handles the day to day activities of the front office department. You will be responsible for the intake scheduling and welcoming at the registration desk. You will answer phones and page other professionals in a kind and audible manner. You ensure patient impact of office activities comply with practice standards. Your goal is to ensure flow of the patient from point of entry in scheduling until intake for surgery ever improving the patient and physician relationship. You will be the role model for outstanding service and processing. You will have conversations with strangers who may be in pain and need help. Our patients are hurting so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant however they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious friendly and helpful. You can work the hours for this position typically Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM -4:30 PM because ultimately we are all here to help patients. You will collaborate with Patient Navigators at an OOSC sister company DMOS. You will have access to peer leaders and others who will support and help train you in your daily tasks.

Can I do this jobYou must be able to be curious and kind with patients. You are helpful and kind. You may be at a desk for long periods of time that may seem unnatural. You are a high school graduate with some experience in a medical office. You can kindly provide feedback and accept (and use) feedback as required. You will be excited to learn scheduling and related administrative processes. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice and use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic stays in clinic. We will train candidates in our processes who have experience and passion in Orthopaedics roles so dont be deterred. If you have a certificate in healthcare administration and want apply your knowledge this may be a good fit.

OOSC is a privately held medical facility. Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment will be required to complete a criminal background check and meet certain vaccination requirements.
