Job Summary
Position Summary
The Drupal Web Developer is responsible for designing developing maintaining and enhancing web applications and digital platforms built on the latest versions of Drupal (Drupal 9/10/11). This role ensures highquality secure scalable and usercentered digital experiences that support organizational goals. The developer collaborates closely with designers content teams product owners and IT leadership to deliver modern accessible and highperforming web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Drupal Development & Architecture
- Develop configure and maintain websites using the latest versions of Drupal (9/10/11).
- Build custom modules themes and integrations following Drupal best practices.
- Implement and maintain content types views taxonomies blocks and menus.
- Ensure code quality through version control peer reviews and adherence to coding standards (Drupal Coding Standards PSR4 Composer workflows).
Site Maintenance & Enhancements
- Perform regular updates security patches and module upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve site issues performance bottlenecks and compatibility problems.
- Optimize websites for speed accessibility (WCAG 2.1) SEO and mobile responsiveness.
- Maintain documentation for configurations custom code and deployment processes.
Integration & API Development
- Build and maintain integrations with thirdparty systems (REST API GraphQL SSO CRM payment gateways etc.).
- Work with cloud hosting environments (Acquia Pantheon AWS Azure) to deploy and manage Drupal applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement modern userfriendly interfaces.
- Partner with content editors to improve workflows permissions and editorial experience.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning standups retrospectives).
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 35 years of experience developing with Drupal (including Drupal 9/10/11).
- Strong proficiency in PHP Twig HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and responsive design.
- Experience with Composer Drush Git and modern development workflows.
- Knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization.
- Experience with cloud hosting platforms (Acquia Pantheon AWS Azure).
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) security best practices and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless or decoupled Drupal architectures.
- Familiarity with React Vue or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with Docker or containerized development environments.
- Acquia Drupal Developer or Site Builder certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Minimum of 10 years of overall IT industry experience.
- At least 6 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to software applications.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Composer Drush Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) security best practices and website performance optimization techniques.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with cloud hosting platforms such as Acquia Pantheon AWS or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in PHP Twig HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and responsive web design principles.
- Experience with MySQL/MariaDB database management and optimization.
- Demonstrated strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Minimum of 3 years of Drupal development experience including Drupal 9 10 and/or 11.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is highly desired.
- Acquia Drupal Developer or Site Builder certification is highly desired.
