Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM with flexibility to work 1-2 mid-shifts (11:00 AM-7:00 PM) weekly as business needs require.

About the Role
Abacus is seeking an energetic hands-on Onsite Staffing Specialist to support workforce operations at a fast-paced warehouse facility in Plainfield IN. This position serves as the primary onsite contact for temporary employees and client leadership ensuring a positive employee experience while supporting staffing onboarding coaching attendance management and workforce engagement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have prior staffing or recruiting experience a strong understanding of warehouse operations and working knowledge of forklift equipment and material handling environments. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships solving problems and helping employees succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding & Orientation
- Welcome and check in all new associates on their first day.
- Facilitate onboarding activities and ensure completion of required documentation.
- Communicate workplace expectations attendance policies safety requirements and company procedures.
- Conduct facility tours and introduce new hires to supervisors and team members.
Employee Support & Engagement
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for temporary employees.
- Address employee questions concerns and workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Foster positive employee relations and maintain a productive work environment.
- Support employee retention efforts through regular engagement and follow-up.
Coaching & Performance Management
- Partner with client leadership to address employee performance concerns and opportunities.
- Deliver coaching and feedback regarding attendance productivity quality and workplace behavior.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and employee recognition programs.
Training & Development
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training as needed.
- Assist with cross-training and skill development efforts.
- Monitor training completion and communicate progress to management.
- Ensure employees understand job duties safety expectations and performance standards.
Attendance Management
- Track attendance tardiness and absenteeism.
- Communicate attendance concerns and follow established escalation procedures.
- Identify attendance trends and assist with workforce planning efforts.
Incident Response & Workforce Support
- Respond promptly to employee concerns incidents and workplace issues.
- Serve as a liaison between employees client leadership and Abacus management.
- Assist with investigations documentation and incident resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards.
Staffing & Operational Support
- Communicate staffing shortages scheduling concerns and workforce needs.
- Assist with recruiting efforts employee referrals and workforce planning initiatives.
- Support operational goals through effective workforce management.
Leadership & Client Partnership
- Provide leadership and guidance to assigned temporary employees.
- Promote accountability teamwork and adherence to workplace standards.
- Partner with site management to support productivity quality and safety goals.
- Act as a role model through professionalism reliability and strong customer service.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational objectives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous staffing recruiting human resources or workforce management experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to coach employees and handle performance conversations professionally.
- Excellent organization time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution environments.
- Experience working around forklift equipment and material handling operations.
- Previous onsite management or staffing coordinator experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
