One on One Paraprofessional

Arkansas Arts Academy is seeking a compassionate dependable and student-centered Special Education Paraprofessional to join our Elementary School is a one-on-one paraprofessional position providing individualized support to an elementary student throughout the school day. The paraprofessional will work closely with the students special education teacher classroom teachers related service providers and school administration to help the student successfully participate in the educational the PositionThe 1:1 SPED Paraprofessional will provide consistent support based on the students individual needs and educational plan. Responsibilities may include:Providing one-on-one academic and instructional support throughout the school dayAssisting the student with classroom assignments activities and accommodationsSupporting the implementation of the students Individualized Education Program (IEP) under the direction of certified staffHelping the student with transitions between classrooms activities lunch recess specials and other areas of the schoolProviding encouragement and support with social emotional and behavioral skillsAssisting with behavior strategies and intervention plans as directed by the students educational teamPromoting independence while providing the appropriate level of assistanceSupporting communication and interaction with teachers classmates and other school staffAssisting with mobility personal care or other daily needs when required by the students individual planSupervising and supporting the student to maintain a safe and positive learning environmentObserving student progress and communicating relevant information to the supervising teacher or SPED teamMaintaining student confidentiality and professionalism at all timesParticipating as a positive and dependable member of the Elementary and Special Education teams
