We arelooking for: Seasonal OncologyVeterinaryTechnician
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm

OurOncologydepartmentassistswith chemotherapyand radiation treatmentsvenipuncture IV catheter placement as well as client education and is a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detailcompassionand a desire to drive excellent patient care.
Whatyoulldo:
- Managing appointments: obtaining histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc. as well as organize and manage daily service flow
- Ensure documentation isaccurateand complete
- Assistwithchemotherapy and radiation therapy protocols
- Safety as it relates to secondary exposure and patient safety
- Administration procedures including extravasation protocols
- Medicationsprotocolsand related drug dosages
- Drug calculations as they relate to the treatment plan
- Side effects and general treatment guidelines
- Vertical-flow hood maintenance
- Clinical studies/trials
- Setting up/assistingwith CT and radiation treatments
- Venipuncture restraint basic laboratory skills
- Intravenous catheter placement endotrachealintubationand anesthetic equipment use and maintenance
- Client communicationand education
Who you are:
- State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred
- Prior veterinary experiencerequiredpreviousoncologyexperience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation:
This position has an initial hiring range of $24.00 to $40.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
We supportcaregivers with lucrative shift differentials:
-Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm base pay $2/hour
-Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am base pay $3/hour
-Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) base pay $1/hour any applicable differential
