About the Role
Greenville Pharmacy is seeking a high-performing experienced Sterile Compounding Technician Peptides & GLP-1 to join our growing pharmacy operations team. This is a full-time on-site role for a skilled compounding professional who understands sterile technique USP compliance standards and clean room operations and is ready to operate at a high level in a fast-moving precision-driven functional wellness and longevity pharmacy environment.
In this role you will report directly to the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and serve as a core technical owner of sterile compounding operations. You will help commission and operate an ISO-classified clean room execute high-quality compounding of GLP-1 medications and peptides and ensure all batch documentation quality controls and environmental standards are met without exception.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a senior individual contributor and subject-matter expert who takes full ownership of aseptic execution understands USP <795> <797> and <800> requirements and can help build scalable systems that ensure long-term operational excellence compliance and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Compound GLP-1 medications (semaglutide tirzepatide) and peptides under the
supervision of a licensed pharmacist in compliance with USP <795> <797> and <800>
Perform reconstitution of lyophilized peptides sterile filtration vial filling stoppering
and crimping
Run environmental monitoring: viable and non-viable air sampling surface sampling and
personnel monitoring
Coordinate end-product sterility and endotoxin testing with outside labs
Complete garbing/gowning qualification and annual media ll testing
Assign BUDs maintain batch records and own compounding documentation for every
lot
Manage cold-chain and temperature-excursion documentation for peptide APIs and
finished compounds
Manage inventory of APIs excipients and compounding supplies including proper
storage of temperature-sensitive materials
Conduct QC checks on finished compounds for potency sterility clarity and appearance
Required
2 years of hands-on compounding experience including GLP-1s (semaglutide
tirzepatide) and/or peptides
Strong aseptic technique and direct experience in compounding inside an ISO-classified environment
Working knowledge of USP <795> <797> and <800>
Experience with laminar ow hoods analytical balances filling equipment and batch
documentation systems
Experience with environmental monitoring BUD assignment and media qualification
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT via PTCB or ExCPT) and an active state license registration/licensure
Prior experience helping stand up or commission a new clean room
Experience authoring or revising sterile compounding SOPs
Familiarity with pharmacy/compounding software (PioneerRx Liberty or similar) and batch record systems
Experience with sub-visible particulate checks and cold-chain logistics for peptide APIs
