Job Description:

Hitachi Railis looking for an enthusiastic self-motivatedO&M Senior HSE Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based inPearl City Hawaii.

Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to establishing documenting implementing maintaining and continually improving the HSE Management System implemented on the Project in compliance with current FTA Standards OSHA Regulations GBMS Standards and Local Procedures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the activities in compliance with HSE Policies HSE Legislative requirements HSE Customer Requirements and the HSE Management System of HRH.;
  • Contribute to the completion of HSE hazard identification and risk assessment and the determination of necessary controls measures;
  • Contribute to the implementation of the HSE Compliance and Management System Audits;
  • Contribute to the development the HSE Programs to achieve the planned HSE Objectives and Targets and areas of regulatory compliance;
  • Contribute to HSE Local Communication Participation and Consultation including development and engagement of a site safety committee;
  • Contribute to the identification of emergency scenarios and development of appropriate emergency response measures;
  • Ensure the monitoring reporting and communication of HSE performance and provide recommendations and solutions in the event of negative trends;
  • Ensure that all HSE accidents and incidents are reported investigated and analyzed for the purpose of learning from incidents;
  • Contribute to the identification of findings nonconformities and corrective and preventive actions;
  • Ensure that Rail Operations Center facility and all stations are inspected on regular base in compliance with the HSE Management System and OSHA Regulations;
  • Work cross-functionally to support a wide array of operational activities and engage leaders and employees from across the business.
  • Build and deliver safety meetings

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a safety related role.
  • OSHA 30 General Industry or equivalent training and competency in General Industry Regulations
  • Communication presentation and training delivery experience
  • Experience engaging stakeholders from across all disciplines in the HSE Program
  • Experience implementing programs and policies within ISO 14001 and 45001 Certified Organizations
  • Experience implementing site safety programs
  • Demonstrated ability to inspect and evaluate workplace environments equipment and practices for compliance with corporate and legislative requirements standards and regulations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and promote a harmonious safety environment.
  • Ability to complete written reports and electronic communications expeditiously and with a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism while in the field.
  • Computer proficiency with a strong knowledge of PCs and software applications related to the work such as MS Office Word Excel Access SharePoint etc.
  • A valid non-probationary Drivers License
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and take action on safety-related issues conduct root cause incident investigations and handle both uncomfortable and sensitive situations.

  • OSHA 510 or 511
  • OSHA 2264 Permit Required Confined Space Entry
  • OSHA 3095 Low Voltage Electrical Standards
  • OSHA 3115 Fall Protection
  • Rail Experience in Public Transit
  • Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) Completion
  • Public Transportation Safety Certificate Training Program (PTSCTP) Completion
  • OSHA 501 Completion
  • Any certifications by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
  • Lead ISO 14001 and 45001 Auditor Certification
  • Experience with Human and Organizational Performance Management techniques
  • Certified Inspector of Sediments and Erosion Control (CISEC)
  • Experience with Eco-Online
  • Experience with TeamCenter
  • Experience with Maximo
  • Experience with programming in PowerApps

Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma

Language
English proficiency

The salary range for this position is $93700 to $140600.

Final pay is determined by the candidates experience skillset and ability level internal equity and location.
