Location:We have one vacancy that can be located in our Augusta Portland or Biddeford offices.

Core Responsibilities:

This is a specialized Child Protective Services Case Aide position. As a Child Protective Services Case Aide you will play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of children served by the Office of Child and Family Services Child Welfare division.

You will be:

Assisting in gathering health records for children in custody of the Department

Reviewing health records child welfare reports Health Info Net and assisting with subsequent data entry analysis and uploading to the electronic information system.

Tracking and reporting of health records and information gathered

Communication and collaboration with medical office personnel and child welfare staff

Assisting in tracking documenting and electronic filing of informed consent forms

Tracking and responding to psychotropic medication review requests

All other tasks projects and duties as assigned

A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills organizational and computer skills. This position is part of a team dynamic thats main objective is to assist inform and interact with OCFS staff resource parents and medical providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify your background must include training education or experience in office and client support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a proficient knowledge of the principles and practices in assisting management with policies and procedures and 2) the ability to use independent judgment initiative and decision-making on complex administrative and direct service activities.

This position requires the possession of a valid Class C Maine Motor Vehicle Operators License.

Preference will be extended to candidates possessing the following skills/experience:

experience with medical records or work in the medical or mental health field.

in the use of standard work-place applications (MS Word EXCEL Outlook etc.).
