Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 42.5 Hours/Week One Weekend Rotation per Month

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Occupational Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
• Establish measurable rehabilitation goals and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians nurses therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans recovery strategies and home programs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Participate in clinics patient rounds case conferences and care planning meetings
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of therapy equipment and supplies
• Contribute to staff education and departmental quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required
• Current New York State Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure required
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required
• Acute Care experience required (Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation experience alone does not qualify)
• Outpatient Occupational Therapy experience required
• Strong evaluation treatment planning and patient education skills
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro Rehabilitation experience preferred
• Concussion Management experience in an outpatient setting preferred
• Experience working in a hospital-based rehabilitation environment preferred
