Axis Therapy Centers is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

As an Occupational Therapist at Axis youll evaluate and treat children with a variety of developmental needs including children on the autism spectrum.
Youll develop individualized treatment plans focused on helping each child increase independence and participate more successfully in everyday activities.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans based on each childs strengths and needs.
- Provide therapy targeting areas such as fine motor development sensory processing and regulation self-care skills play coordination and daily living skills.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide education strategies and support that can be carried into everyday routines.
- Collaborate with BCBAs SLPs and other members of the childs care team when appropriate.
- Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain current knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Maintain all required professional licenses certifications and continuing education requirements.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Current NBCOT certification as applicable.
- Current or eligible Occupational Therapy license in the state of Iowa.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- A collaborative team-oriented approach to care.
- Passion for working with children and families.
- Experience in pediatrics autism sensory processing or developmental disabilities is a plus.
