As we continue to grow we are looking for motivated Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our team and provide quality care to our patients in a home health setting.

Job Summary
The OT/COTA provides skilled occupational therapy services to help patients improve their independence safety and ability to participate in daily activities. This position involves working with patients and families in the home following an individualized plan of care and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (OT/OTR):
  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the patients plan of care.
  • Evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions to improve strength mobility coordination cognitive skills safety and activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Develop implement and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
  • Educate patients caregivers and family members on therapy activities home programs safety and strategies that promote independence.
  • Select appropriate therapeutic activities based on the patients abilities and goals.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to the patients home or living environment when appropriate.
  • Accurately document evaluations interventions progress and other services provided.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians caregivers and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR):
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas OT license.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA):
  • Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Texas COTA license.
License/Certification:
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current Texas Drivers License.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong communication organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and timekeeping.
