Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Special Education the Occupational Therapist participates as a member of a transdisciplinary team in the assessment of students with physical medical mental developmental and/or emotional disability to determine current levels of motor development and/or cognitive functioning; develops recommendations and a plan that addresses the identified needs; identifies and addresses areas of family concern regarding a students development; and assists other staff in implementing activities and/or techniques that address the identified student needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid California Board of Occupational Therapy license and National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy certification.
- Experience in a school district or working with children preferred.
- Valid California Driver license to travel to district sites and meetings.
- CPR-First Aid certification is required if hired.

Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check fingerprinting physical exam including tuberculosis drug and alcohol screening and an Oath of Allegiance.
The probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service whichever is longer.
