Our client a leading healthcare facility in Alameda CA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly pay rate of $50-55 per hour.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients with various injuries or illnesses. Your main responsibility will be to assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist and help patients regain their strength mobility and independence.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating and assessing patients conditions and progress

- Implement treatment plans and exercises designed by the Occupational Therapist

- Monitor and document patients progress and report any changes to the Occupational Therapist

- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to improve their condition

- Use various equipment and modalities to aid in patients rehabilitation

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and collaborate on patient care plans

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and attend professional development opportunities

Requirements:

- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Current state license or certification as a Occupational Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Occupational Therapist Assistant

- Strong knowledge of Occupational therapy techniques and modalities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records

- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
