Job Summary

Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient Rehabilitation Contract Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an inpatient rehabilitation team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through individualized therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and rehabilitation needs.

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an inpatient setting.

  • Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

  • Educate patients families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.

  • Collaborate with physicians nurses therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies state regulations and professional standards of practice.

Requirements
  • Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Hawaii.

  • Minimum of 5 years of Occupational Therapy experience.

  • Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including weekend coverage as needed.

  • Strong communication organizational and patient care skills.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems; Cerner experience preferred.

Schedule
  • Full-time 40 hours per week.

  • Day shift.

  • 8-hour shifts.

  • Weekend coverage required.

  • Holiday coverage may be required.
