Location: Rome New York
Pay Rate: $53/hr to $56/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-hour nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: 1 2 years of Step-Down/Telemetry experience required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week Medical/Surgical Step-Down contract in Rome New York. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong adult and geriatric care experience telemetry knowledge and the ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Monitor Step-Down and telemetry patients.
• Assess patient conditions and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Document care accurately in Paragon EMR.
• Use Pyxis for medication management.
• Collaborate with providers and care team members.
• Follow patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required.
• 1 2 years of Step-Down/Telemetry experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with Paragon EMR preferred.
• Pyxis experience preferred.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Local and travel candidates accepted.
• No on-call requirement.
