Pay Rate: $55 to $58/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-Hour Nights 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Experience: 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical Stroke Stepdown for a 13-week night shift contract in Utica New York. This role supports adult patients in a busy MedSurg Stroke Stepdown unit and requires strong clinical skills travel experience and the ability to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult MedSurg and Stroke Stepdown patients.

• Monitor patients with stroke altered mental status renal dialysis COPD CHF pneumonia pulmonary isolation and general MedSurg needs.

• Manage IV pumps N/G tubes and feeding tubes.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.

• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.

• Float to other units as required.

Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse license required.

• Current AHA BLS required.

• NIHSS required for this unit and may be obtained prior to start.

• 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience required.

• Stroke Stepdown experience required.

• Travel experience required and must be documented on resume.

• Epic EMR experience required.

• Specialty skills checklist required.

• Drivers license with matching demographic address required.

• NURSYS license verification required for active NY license and all active RN licenses.

• RTO must be included at time of submission.

• Locals accepted; local rate applies within 75 miles.

• Floating required.

• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
