NWMO Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager assists the Production Support Managers and Production Director in the technical execution and integration of daily production scheduling activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary NWMO Point of Contact (POC) with OST expertly managing and communicating all scheduling aspects to ensure seamless coordination.
• Lead and direct Label Compliance personnel strategically assigning tasks to effectively support and enhance all capability areas.
• Oversee and optimize daily operations at the HX facility ensuring efficiency safety and adherence to established protocols.
• Facilitate and lead critical scheduling meetings for MAA Non-MAA SNMV LEV TDF MSC and Commercial shipments driving consensus and clear execution plans.
• Proactively manage and skillfully resolve complex issues between customers regarding MAA Non-MAA SNMV LEV TDF MSC and Commercial shipments safeguarding relationships and delivery timelines.
• Design and implement comprehensive process maps for MAA Non-MAA SNMV LEV TDF MSC and Commercial shipments streamlining workflows and enhancing clarity.
• Champion and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives leveraging process maps to identify and implement efficiencies across all shipment processes.
• Effectively resolve schedule conflicts and manage changes conducting thorough impact assessments on affected facilities to minimize disruption.
• Develop implement and maintain robust dashboards and metrics providing critical insights for performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects as the designated OST coordinator ensuring smooth and compliant operations.

Accountabilities:

• To the Production Director for daily support of efficient effective and safe schedule adherence.

Authorities:

• Authorized to represent the Production Division in interactions with personnel concerning product schedule cost or quality.
• Represent workers in development of procedures and operating protocols that directly affect the work conditions and job performance.

• Bachelors degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Fifteen or more years of relevant education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

• A foundational understanding of NWMOs intricate processes diverse shipment types and complex scheduling systems to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
• A comprehensive working knowledge of manufacturing facilities and their processes to optimize logistics and support production goal adherence.
• Prior management experience in shipping transportation and/or regulatory compliance with a proven track record of leading successful operations and teams.

If a range of Career Levels is posted i.e. Senior Associate to Senior Specialist internal applicants already in one of the Career Levels would come across at their current Career Level. Internal applicants currently in a lower level Career Level would move to the lowest posted Career Level.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
