Nutrition Services Assistant I (Substitute) On-Call

POSITION:

Nutrition Services I

TYPE:

On call as needed. These positions work Monday through Friday.

COMPENSATION:

Range 40; Schedule M; Step 1: $20.09 Hourly

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:

This is anOPEN recruitment to establish a list of substitutesfor the classification of Nutrition Services I.

No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).

TESTING PROCEDURE:

The examination process will consist of a written examination. Applications will be screened on a regular basis and testing will be scheduled throughout the year as needed.

Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of an assigned Cafeteria Manager prepares warms and serves hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned school; maintains kitchen and food service areas in a safe clean and orderly condition.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience
At least six (6) months of experience in school commercial institutional or retail foodservice or manufacturing.

Education
Graduation from high school or equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade is desired but not required.

Possession of or the ability to pass a ServSafeï½ (or an equivalent) food handler certification test within the first six months of employment in this classification.
