Nutrition Services Assistant I

TYPE:

Part-time position Monday through Friday 3.75 hours per day for 10 months per year.

COMPENSATION:

Range 40; Schedule M; Step 1: $20.09 - Step 5: $24.14 Hourly

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:

This is a PROMOTIONAL and OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill vacancies. The eligibility list will be used to fill vacancies that may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Per agreement with our classified bargaining unit laid-off CVUHSD classified employees have a preference for reemployment to any vacant position for which they are qualified and a promotional and open recruitment the promotional list shall take precedence. If the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing ranks certification of additional ranks shall be made from the open list.

TESTING PROCEDURE:

The examination process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of a Cafeteria Manager or another assigned supervisor prepare warm and serve hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned school; maintain the kitchen and food service areas in a safe clean and orderly condition.
