As a Nutrition Assistant you will assist in delivering high-quality safe and efficient food services to patients and staff.
Every day you will prepare and deliver meal trays assist with food preparation maintain cleanliness ensure food safety compliance and interact with patients regarding dietary needs.
To be successful you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail strong food safety knowledge and excellent customer service contributing to a positive dining experience.
- Follows healthcare foodservice standards regulations and facility guidelines including proper food temperatures labeling storage sanitation personal hygiene and prevention of cross-contamination.
- Prepares and serves food according to menus recipes dietary requirements and food safety guidelines; maintains knowledge of ingredients to appropriately respond to food allergy questions.
- Ensures proper meal portioning presentation and service while supporting a high-quality patient and customer experience.
- Assembles delivers and retrieves patient meal trays and may provide retail food service cashiering and other customer-facing foodservice duties.
- Performs cold food preparation catering support inventory maintenance and other foodservice assignments as needed.
- Maintains clean safe and organized kitchen and foodservice areas including dishwashing washing pots and pans cleaning equipment and work areas and disposing of waste.
- One (1) year of Food Service or Customer Service Experience and
- Food Handler Permit: WA within 30 Days
Preferred
- High School Graduate General Studies upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies upon hire and
- Cashier experience
