Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivatedNutanix / VMware Administratorwith strong systems administration virtualization infrastructure and troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withNutanix AHV VMware Windows/Linux environments Active Directory storage networking disaster recovery patching and automation.
The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service possess excellent technical and communication skills and be comfortable supporting critical infrastructure in a highly regulated data center environment.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience withWindows Server operating systems.
Strong experience withLinux operating systems including:
User administration
File systems
Software installation and management
System services
Understanding of server hardware and variousstorage RAID configurations.
Strong experience withActive Directory management including:
Domain administration
Group Policy Objects (GPO)
Backup and recovery
In-depth knowledge of Nutanix hypervisor migration best practices - Required.
In-depth knowledge of VMware Hypervisor migration to Nutanix AHV - Required.
Hands-on experience withNutanix cluster deployment - Required.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting including:
DHCP
DNS
Routing
Firewalls
Fundamental understanding of security principles including:
Access Control Lists (ACLs)
Encryption
Scripting/automation experience using one or more of the following:
PowerShell
Bash
KSH
Perl
Experience monitoring system health and performance.
Ability to analyze system statistics identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts.
Experience withdisaster recovery planningand performing backup/restore activities for systems applications and data.
Experience withpatch and firmware installation and management.
Preferred Skills
Understanding ofbaseliningand experience utilizingIndustrial Defender.
Knowledge ofdark-site patchingfor Nutanix hypervisors Nutanix components and other hypervisors.
Knowledge ofNERC CIP complianceand its impact on data center best practices.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree preferably inInformation Technologyor a related field.
Minimum of5 years of IT Support / Systems Administration experience.
Strong technical knowledge across servers virtualization networks and storage.
Strong scripting and automation experience.

Have reliable means of transportation to travel to various company locations.
Possess avalid drivers license.
Work Arrangement
Candidates must be comfortable with onsite work occasional travel to supported locations on-call responsibilities overtime and flexible working hours when required.
