With 50 locations and 100 programs in NYCs most under-served communities our 1000 results-oriented professionals make a difference for more than 40000 children and their families each Child Center of NY isseekinga compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)as a Nurse Manager. The nursemanagerwill play a key role inensuringour psychiatric and medical team providehigh-quality person-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. This position involvessupervising a team ofRNsandcollaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote wellness administer treatmentscreate policies and proceduresand provide education on behavioral health ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nursing assessments including physical exams vital signs medication reconciliation communicable disease screening behavioral health screening tobacco use assessment and metabolic and manage patient medical care by scheduling appointments making referrals obtaining medical records coordinating laboratory services and collaborating with community providers and medications including injectable psychotropic medicationsmonitortreatment response complete prior authorizations manage denials and communicate clinical concerns to prescribing providers and the interdisciplinary first aid respond to medical emergencies and behavioral health crises and support crisis intervention through de-escalation and coordination with emergency patients individually and in groups on medications chronic disease management behavioral health conditions nutrition exercise reproductive and sexual health harm reduction and overall outreach and follow-up to promote patient engagement continuity of care and adherence to treatment with psychiatrists therapists case managers and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated person-centered timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and ensure compliance with CCBHC standards and applicable regulatory other duties as & Administrative ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and direct supervision to Registered Nurses delivering nursing services and care coordination within the CCBHC while serving as a member of the interdisciplinary leadership daily nursing operations including staffing caseload management service access policy and protocol implementation regulatory compliance and adherence to CCBHC standards and evidence-based trauma-informed quality improvement initiatives program documentation data collection reporting and collaboration with OMH community providers schools and other system onboard supervise evaluate and develop nursing staff while promoting family engagement youth voice cultural responsiveness and equitable service Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates orBachelors degree in Nursing).Active RN license in the state of New YorkTraining and experienceworking with people of all agesin behavioral health mental health or substance use treatment settingsCPR/BLS communication problem-solving and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work amongst diverse social cultural and economic groupsExcellent time management phone and face-to-face engagement skillsProficient in computer skillsQualifications Preferred:Certification in Psychiatric NursingFamiliarity with trauma-informed care motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques preferredExperience working with patients with substance use disordersBilingual: Spanish Mandarin Cantonese Bengali Hindi Korean etc. Other languages may be required depending on client :Hybrid- Monday-Friday ( 9:00am-5:00pm)Physical demands and work environment:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
