Job Overview

We are seeking a Nursing Director Inpatient Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple inpatient nursing units. This role partners closely with senior executive leadership to ensure the delivery of safe high-quality and patient-centered care across the hospital environment.

The position carries 24/7 accountability for assigned clinical areas and plays a key role in driving nursing excellence staff competency and efficient resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership support to senior nursing executive leadership (CNO)
  • Oversee planning coordination implementation and evaluation of nursing practice across multiple units
  • Ensure high-quality safe and compliant patient care delivery
  • Lead clinical staff development performance and competency management
  • Promote evidence-based practice and nursing excellence standards
  • Manage resources related to inpatient care services
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession
  • Maintain effective communication across interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in hospital-wide operational and strategic initiatives
  • Perform additional related leadership duties as required
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active and current RN license in state of practice required
  • Minimum 2 years progressive management experience in a hospital setting (manager or director level)
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Strong leadership communication and operational management skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple units and maintain 24/7 accountability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or related healthcare field
