Nursing Director Inpatient Care

About the Role

We are hiring a Nursing Director to oversee inpatient care services including medical/surgical units and ICU operations. This role is responsible for nursing leadership patient care quality safety staffing oversight and daily operational performance across inpatient nursing departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for medical/surgical units and ICU.

• Ensure high-quality safe and patient-centered nursing care.

• Manage nursing services using sound human resource and financial management practices.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family care.

• Implement and maintain policies procedures standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assume 24-hour responsibility authority and accountability for patient care activities and service operations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Bachelors degree in nursing required.

• Masters degree in nursing preferred.

• Active Maine Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license required.

• License must be current and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.

• BLS/BCLS certification required.

• ACLS certification required.

• Specialty and leadership certification preferred.

• Strong leadership communication quality safety and operational management skills required.
