Work Schedule:
Core Requirement: 4 to 5-day work week. Must include a 12-hour Wednesday shift (6:00 AM 6:30 PM) and at least one weekend day per week (or alternating full weekend shifts).
Remaining Days: Flexible / determined by applicant availability and program operational needs.
What you bring to SBHG:
Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
- Associate degree preferred.
Experience
- Four (4) years experience working as a nurse in a behavioral health field including One (1) year of medication administration experience required.
- One (1) year experience in a nursing leadership role preferred.
License or Certification
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification.
How you will make a difference:
The Nursing Department Coordinator is responsible for hiring onboarding training and supervising nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care. Supports the development and implementation of nursing objectives standards policies and procedures and provides direct nursing services as needed. Assists with recruitment and staffing recommendations oversees nursing schedules and on-call coverage and ensures accurate and timely medical record documentation. Contributes to medication management controls and infection prevention efforts including identifying risks and recommending corrective actions. Provides crisis intervention support facilitates departmental meetings participates in leadership and program meetings and serves in the leadership on-call rotation.
