Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II

Full-Time First Shift

Surgical Services I Lexington KY

Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling a Postoperative Care Unit an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas and a Sterile Processing Department.

Description Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:

  • At the direction of management and/or nursing personnel assists the hospital staff/department in the provision of high quality safe patient care
  • Provides basic physical care of the patient.
  • Demonstrates safe patient transport with stretcher wheelchairs and patient beds.
  • Performs tasks and procedures as directed according to hospital policy and procedure.
  • Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
  • Actively participates in unit activities.
  • Perform routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination treatment and care of patients.
  • On Call required-weeknights weekends and holiday picked by rotation.

Requirements Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:

  • High School Diploma and/or Equivalent.
  • Current KY Nurse Aide Certification or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
