As a Nurse Shift Manager in our Medical/Surgical 2 West department youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
- Collaborates with other area supervisors as required to support the hospitals role as a community health service provider.
- Assists in implementing a unit Quality Management Program consistent with hospital wide Performance Improvement Plan. Operates the units within the financial and productivity guidelines setting goals and developing policies that support this objective.
- Provides for quality services by ensuring that the staff are well trained in the services to be provided.
- Addresses escalates or resolves unit issues including problem resolution related to customer complaints concerns and suggestions.
$5000 Sign on for eligible new hires with at least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3-5 years.
Required:
- Associates of Science in Nursing
- Two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
