St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340 beds and offers a modern Birth Center Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Cancer Center Emergency Department Level III Trauma Center Imaging Services Acute Inpatient Rehab Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorados home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.

Every day youll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care that sees each patient as an individual. Youll administer treatments track vitals educate patients and families and play a key role in making sure people feel seen heard and cared for.

- Builds skills to utilize current evidence-based practice knowledge the nursing process critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
- Basic understanding of and ability to assess ailments and injuries of patients and implement a treatment plan.
- Learns to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Basic understanding of and ability to provide clinical skills necessary for patient care e.g. history taking therapeutic planning and monitoring etc. to achieve optimized outcomes in medication therapy and clinical treatment.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks.
- Develops accountability for own practice delegated care and the coordination of care delivery. Behaves in a manner that supports colleagues and maintains respect trust and dignity.

To be considered for this role you must have graduated and be licensed prior to the October 26 2026 start date. If you graduate after that date or will not take your NCLEX in time please consider applying for our Spring 2027 cohort.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing
• Zero (0) to twelve (12) months of professional nursing (RN) experience
• Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
• BLS certification - American Heart Association
• Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided
