Job Summary

Required Skills:

a. Provide treatment including gynecologic exams physical exams breast exams and pelvic exams including Contraception Management Gynecology (GYN) Intrauterine Device (IUD)/implant insertion and removal.

b. Conduct tests related to Reproductive Health including cervical cancer screening clinical breast examinations Chlamydia Gonorrhea syphilis HIV and vaginitis testing.
c. Provide referrals for Colposcopy Biopsy Cryotherapy and other services as needed.

d. Provide interpretation of laboratory and test results as well as diagnosing pathological conditions infective and cytological conditions.
e. Review existing objective and subjective data develop a client problem list and a plan of care based on client assessment.

f. Record clinical services in individual client records and document using an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

3. Consultant may be asked to administer immunizations such as but not limited to influenza and coronavirus disease 2019 per the approved immunization schedule as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

shall provide education counseling and consultation to clients and Public Health Services District staff as needed. This shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:

a. Provide clients with health education and counseling related to family planning methods and womens health issues including information on self-breast exam and cervical cancer screening.
b. Conduct health education activities in the clinical setting that is age appropriate and client centered giving priority to lifestyle behaviors most associated with premature and preventable morbidity and mortality including but not limited to tobacco use poor nutrition lack of exercise substance abuse prevention domestic violence prevention and all others dictated by patient need.

c. Provide medical consultation and support for Reproductive Health staff employed by the Public Health Services District.
d. Provide on-call telephone consultation for emergency contraception and birth control refill services.

e. Provide mental health service referrals as necessary.


a. Provide information and cooperate to complete the credentialing and recredentialing process when requested.
i. For the avoidance of doubt credentialing expenses shall be paid by PCPHSD throughout the term of a resultant contract with the County.

b. Participate in quality management studies and audits completing required documents and reports within requested time frames.
c. Assist in ensuring that quality of care issues which may impact health safety and well-being are identified and corrected.

d. e. Provide program information and/or consultation to advisory boards as requested.
