We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II Operating Room (OR) to lead perioperative nursing operations within a high-acuity hospital environment. This role is responsible for managing clinical operations staff leadership quality and safety outcomes and regulatory compliance across the Main Operating Room.

The Nurse Manager II will ensure safe efficient and high-quality surgical care delivery while collaborating with physicians surgical teams and hospital leadership to optimize patient outcomes and operational performance.

• Lead and manage OR nursing staff ensuring high performance and clinical competency.

• Oversee hiring onboarding training and performance evaluations.

• Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives.

• Oversee daily operations of the Main OR in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting.

• Ensure appropriate staffing levels scheduling and resource allocation.

• Maintain clinical expertise and provide guidance on perioperative nursing practices.

• Delegate clinical and operational tasks aligned with scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) Nursing Practice Act and federal/state regulations.

• Lead patient safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.

• Monitor infection control surgical safety standards and clinical best practices.

• Maintain audit readiness and support regulatory inspections.

• Translate organizational strategy into operational goals and unit-level execution.

• Manage budgets payroll and resource utilization for assigned unit(s).

• Lead performance improvement initiatives and workflow optimization efforts.

• Support long-term planning succession planning and leadership development.

• Collaborate with physicians surgical teams and multidisciplinary hospital staff.

• Address and resolve patient family and staff concerns related to care delivery.

• Support emergency preparedness and operational continuity planning.

• Ensure alignment across departments for efficient surgical service delivery.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (MSN preferred).

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• CNOR certification preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in patient care delivery.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical healthcare or business operations.

• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

• Must have Main OR experience in an acute care hospital setting.

• Strong experience in perioperative nursing and surgical services leadership.

• CNOR certification strongly preferred.

• Experience in cross-functional hospital leadership environments.

• Strong background in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Experience with budgeting workforce planning and operational analytics.

• Strong leadership in change management and staff development.

Salary Range: $239000 $259000 annually
