Requirements:
5 years RN experience
5 years in psychiatry
2 years leadership experience
Must have psych unit management experience in a hospital
Active NY RN License BLS & ACLS
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager Behavioral Health for a direct hire opportunity with Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn NY. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the psychiatric unit ensuring high-quality patient care regulatory compliance and effective team coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing a psych unit within a hospital setting and demonstrate excellence in leadership communication and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the behavioral health unit
Ensure compliance with NYSDOH JCAHO and other regulatory standards
Manage admissions discharges and care planning
Lead performance improvement initiatives and data reporting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Provide administrative leadership and staff supervision
