Schedule: Varied shifts depending on department (Days or Nights) Work approximately 4 shifts per month Available for a minimum of 4 shifts per month (2 of which are weekend shifts) 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday required per year

How youll contribute

ANurse Externwho excels in this role:

• Performs direct patient care under the direction delegation and supervision of a registered nurse while monitoring recording and communicating patient condition appropriately.

• Maintains positive professional relationships with patients families coworkers and health care team.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What were looking for

Applicants should be currently enrolled in nursing school and in their first or second semester of the program. Additional requirements include:

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire

• Required Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and sound judgment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-stress environment while taking appropriate action.
