Job Summary
We are searching for a Nurse Coordinator with Texas Childrens Home Infusion team someone who works well in a fast-paced this position youll support excellence in clinical practice and the care of patients in accordance with their developmental stages. To coordinate the daily operations of the service by assisting the physicians promoting the development of other nurse professionals demonstrating clinical expertise and implementation of the Departments philosophy and standards of nursing practice. To be responsible for the coordination of care for the patient and family as they move across the continuum.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in nursing associates degree or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or an associates degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license required or must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN with a verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- 3 years or more experience in nursing required
- Pediatrics exp a plus
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients with input from the parent/family
- Collaborates with health care team to assist in the assessment of the patient/family throughout the patients care. Takes
call for any issues that may occur after hours and on weekends - Determines patient needs and priorities for care with special consideration given to patient teaching as documented on the
Patient Teaching Record - Coordinates patient care by involving patient/family in the planning implementation and
evaluation of patient care - Educates patients/families
- Evaluates the effectiveness of teaching plan and makes updates and modifications needed
- Maintains ongoing and open communication with the perioperative/cath lab team and other related areas
- Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services professional development and keeping informed of
Hospital/Departmental communications as evidenced by in-service rosters - Participates in the coordination and data collection for research directed at improving patient care. Identifies
opportunities for research and integrates research findings into the clinical practice setting
