We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing cardiovascular clinic in Colorado Springs. This role is focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that directly supports patient care and outcomes in a fast-paced patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare administer and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician direction
- Perform SPECT and PET imaging for cardiac and diagnostic studies
- Operate and maintain nuclear imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Conduct cardiac imaging procedures to identify and assess abnormalities
- Take patient histories explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Calculate measure and document radiopharmaceutical doses accurately
- Perform quality control checks and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Safely handle store and dispose of radioactive materials
- Maintain accurate records and support departmental accreditation requirements
- Current certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N)
- Strong knowledge of nuclear imaging procedures and radiation safety protocols
- Experience with SPECT and PET imaging preferred especially in cardiac applications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Experience in a cardiology or outpatient clinical setting
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and imaging equipment maintenance
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative patient-focused environment
