| THE ROLE |
Our client a growing cardiovascular clinic in Colorado Springs CO is seeking a full-time permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The successful candidate will perform advanced nuclear imaging procedures - including SPECT and PET studies - that are integral to the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular and other medical conditions. This is an on-site direct-hire role within a collaborative physician-led clinical environment.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Prepare administer and monitor radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision
- Perform SPECT and PET imaging studies with emphasis on cardiac applications
- Operate calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct diagnostic imaging to identify and evaluate cardiovascular and other medical conditions
- Obtain patient histories explain procedures and provide patient care throughout the imaging process
- Calculate measure document and administer radiopharmaceutical doses accurately
- Perform routine quality control testing and maintain compliance with departmental state and federal regulations
- Handle store and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with radiation safety standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes
| REQUIREMENTS |
Must-Have
- Current certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB or ARRT-N
- Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures imaging protocols and radiation safety practices
- Experience performing nuclear imaging studies including SPECT imaging
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with PET imaging particularly in cardiac applications
- Previous experience in a cardiology practice cardiovascular clinic or outpatient healthcare setting
- Familiarity with quality assurance programmes accreditation standards and imaging equipment maintenance
