Nuclear Medicine Technologist (3224)

US Heart and Vascular is searching for a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our float team at HeartPlace in Dallas TX. This position will float to our HeartPlace Imaging Clinic locations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Explains procedures to patients and obtain informed consent from patient.
• Administers all in-office nuclear scans including PET CT.
• Images processes and formats images for physician interpretation.
• Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.
• Documents test results to physicians and patients as directed by the physician.
• Verifies patient appointments the day before to ensure use of isotope.
• Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing i.e. do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Always adheres to company safety standards.
• Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Degree or appropriate certification training.
• Minimum two years experience is preferred but not required.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.
• Current CPR certification.
