Job Summary
Essential Responsibilities:
- Determine the organization structure and roles and responsibilities for the newly formed team of 50 GVH employees and 40 contingent workersencompassing Requirements Management Design Process CM Export Control Tagging Technical Regulations and Document Control. Therole is a Senior Manager role which is a leader of leaders.
- LeverageINCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering)standards for Configuration Management and Systems Engineeringtoalign our technical regulations standards and design processes to ensure safety quality and regulatory compliance.
- Partner effectively with Digital Engineering to design the processes and tool functionality for regulatory compliance export control governance and configuration management needs across the pillar engineering tools: PLM (Teamcenter) Octave (Hexagon) and the Autodesk Suite.
- Governance Framework: Define implement and evolve the governance processes that translate high-level requirements into actionable product definitions and regulatory documentation.
- Strengthen export control processes in accordance with guidance provided by the Chief Engineers Office.
- Technical Change Process:Establish a board structurefor the Engineering Change Authorization (ECA) processwith a CM acting as the chair.Technical design changes undergo robust impact analysis across the entire engineering tool landscape to maintain a single source of truth.
- Lifecycle Integrity: Maintain configuration baseline control across the plant lifecycle ensuring that product structure remains consistent traceable and compliant with nuclear industry standards.
- Establish a process to re-use the BWRX-300 Standard Plant product structure and design on new projects.
- Strengthen existing document control processes and procedures. Partner with sourcing to ensure vendor engineering deliverables are received and processed into the internal systems of record.Partner with Project Engineering to ensure document control with partners/EPCs/end customers as per contract requirements.
- Lean tool (Kaizen) expectations: Streamline design processEliminateinefficienciesand improve overallengineering teamproductivitythroughValue Stream optimizationandLean tool set application.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a relevant STEM field.
- 10 years minimum experience in engineering design
- 5 years experience as a direct people leader

- Experience in process use and development with regards to product definition development bill of material management configuration management concepts program/project scheduling and field installation.
- Demonstrated external advocacy with INCOSE and other relevant systems engineering industry groups.
- CMII or CMPIC external Configuration Management theory & practice training as well as certification
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with design and system engineering counterparts
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with partners external to Engineering including materials management order fulfillment and manufacturing in both initial build and services contexts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership
- Strong organizational facilitation and leadership skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities and Hoshin break through demands thru different business cycles
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities including working with large organizations and various levels of leadership up to and including Senior Executive and Vice President to present key data effectively and clearly.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to map and manage complex requirements and design processes across large-scale long-lifecycle technical projects.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong background in technical regulations and standards within the nuclear or similarly highly regulated safety-critical industries.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
