Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products (NTP) has an opening for the position of EHS Supervisor for our Louisville Kentucky conduit plant. The EHS Supervisor will lead the EHS engineers and technicians. Assist the Environmental Manager as needed with day-to-day management of the environmental and safety departments. Proven ability to lead teams in maximizing a divisions assets and profitability. Aid in promoting the facilitys EHS strategy and supporting Nucors commitment to safety and environmental excellence. Focus on building relationships cross-departmentally and aiding in the professional development of their team. Conduct annual reviews of the EHS plans and procedures and recommend necessary improvements. Support development and implementation of plant annual EHS goals and strategies for improving safety and environmental performance. Review manage and report incidents to ensure that effective investigations focusing on cause and corrective measures are implemented at the facility. Support production teams during outages and capital project upgrades. Communicate with regulatory agencies and community leaders as necessary to address environmental reporting deviations facilitate agency inspections and notices of non-compliance. Identify safety and environmental issues that require capital expenditure assist in the preparation of funding requests and lead to the implementation of the chosen solution. This position reports to the Environmental Manager.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Engineering Environmental or other related science or 8 Years of equivalent experience
- 3 years experience proven leadership skills and abilities.
- 5 years experience in environmental compliance air pollution control and/or wastewater treatment operations. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations.
