Basic Job Functions:
The Cold Mill Day Supervisoris responsible fordeveloping a plan for the department working with the Cold Mill leadership team to achieve zero injuries coach and develop our team and continuouslyimprovethe process. This position could be for the cold mill or for the galvanizing lines. The Cold Mill Day Supervisoris responsible formotivating teammates defining expectations and ensuring those expectations are met. This personis responsible forcommunicating the goals of the department and the plant and developing a plan for the crew to achieve those goals. Must be willing to activelyparticipatein meetings and activities before during and after regularly scheduled work hours. Able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nightsweekendsand holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years prior supervisoryexperience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years Cold Mill or galvanizing line experience
Two years Nucor Supervisory experience
Four-year BS or BA degree
