The Cyber Security Analyst I VM (Journeyman) supports day-to-day vulnerability management activities for the ECCOS program under the direction of the Senior VM Analyst scan review remediation tracking and scorecard production. This role offers hands-on vulnerability management experience within a structured CSSP team supporting a Space Force mission.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scan review and documentation
- Support POA&M tracking and remediation status updates in coordination with system owners
- Contribute to monthly Scorecard Metrics and vulnerability trend reporting
- Support enterprise cybersecurity posture evaluation activities and vulnerability scan record control
- Coordinate with system owners on scan scheduling and findings validation
- Assist the Senior VM Analyst with monthly reporting deliverables
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 310 years of relevant cybersecurity experience including experience in DoD or federal environments
- Active DoD 8140-aligned certification (e.g. Security CySA GSEC or equivalent)
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or an active Secret clearance with a submitted SSBI/Tier 5 investigation and the ability to reach TS/SCI eligibility within approximately 90 days
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Prior hands-on experience with ACAS/Nessus or similar vulnerability scanning tools
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Space Force or other space mission enterprise programs
- Familiarity with POA&M lifecycle management
- Solid working knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows
- Strong attention to detail in data tracking and reporting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small structured technical team
- On-site position at a Government facility in the Colorado Springs CO area (Schriever SFB / Peterson SFB)
- Standard office environment; periodic surge activity around monthly reporting cycles
- Access to classified spaces and systems requiring adherence to all applicable security protocols
