Required Qualifications
Specific educational requirements vary by position but a minimum of at least a Masters degree in Mathematics Statistics or Mathematics Education or a closely related field and 18 graduate hours in mathematics is required. Candidates whose degree is in a closely related field must meet SACS accreditation standards to teach in a mathematics department.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Mathematics Statistics or Mathematics Education is preferred. Previous teaching experience is also preferred.
