Position Overview & Compensation:
Starting Pay Rate: $21.63 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday early morning start.
Overtime: Weekly overtime (OT) opportunities are regularly available.
Location Note: This position is based/housed out of our Tavares FL facility but the role is actively servicing and posted in the Orlando FL market.
Key Responsibilities:
Drives a pickup truck with a trailer or ancillary equipment along designated routes to deliver swap or retrieve carts.
Delivers carts to residential locations at curbside or back door safely and efficiently.
Inspects carts and evaluates customer sites to ensure locations are safe for proper servicing per Company standards and service agreements.
Performs daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; completes and submits a vehicle condition report at the end of every shift.
Loads and unloads carts to and from trailers manually or by using a forklift.
Courteously interacts with customers and/or the general public along the route to answer questions or respond to requests.
Cleans loose trash off of the truck and/or ground around the vehicle to maintain a clean customer site and safety along roads and highways.
Maintains and submits logbooks daily route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports as required by law or company policy.
Maneuvers trucks into and out of minimum clearance spaces confidently using mirrors to back up distances of 120 feet or more.
Uses key maps and GPS to navigate to service addresses efficiently.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience with commercial driving (e.g. operating box trucks cube trucks or driving with utility trailers).
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.
License/Record: Valid Drivers License with a satisfactory clean driving record.
CDL Option: Possess or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is a plus but not required.
Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards.
Must demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate all attached equipment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance requirements for safe operation.
Exceptional maneuvering skills including backing up trailers and navigating tight spaces.
Ability to recognize unacceptable waste materials (such as gasoline or other flammable materials).
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal teams and external customers.
Ability to exert muscle force to lift push pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
Flexibility to accept and adapt to route changes and a commitment to safety.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Ability to stand walk reach stoop kneel crouch and climb throughout the shift.
Sitting is required approximately 75% of the time due to the primary driving function.
Routinely exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat rain cold) up to 100% of the working day.
Work environment involves moving mechanical parts vehicle traffic conditions and is usually loud.
