Daniels Health is offering a $1000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward!
We are seeking an enthusiastic customer focused driver who can operate abox truck (26 feet)acrossthe Hayward CA will be collectingsharps andmedical waste containers from ourhealthcarecustomer locations and deliveringahigh role offers a high degree of autonomy stable hours access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and supply above and beyond the standard PPE for safe handling of medical waste and take training of our staff seriously find out more about how we protect you at will your job involve
- Collect deliver and store medical waste containers at customer sites
- Provide professional courteous service and build positive customer relationships
- Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions
- Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise
- Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule
- Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections and report issues immediately
- Follow DOT regulations log hours correctly and support roadside inspections
- Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems
- Own up to mistakes report incidents accurately and follow through on fixes
What are we looking for
- Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
- Willingness to work full time hours approx. 40 hours a week
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
- Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- A flexible can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
- Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
- Experience with DOT compliance logging hours roadside inspections
- Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
- Proven longevity in past employment
- On time delivery practices
