NOC Technical Lead (Network Engineer II) (Government)

Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community providing operating and assuring critical voice video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.

AT&T has an opening for a NOC Technical Lead: To support the customers computer data communications systems in providing design specifications testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network monitoring and modeling.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
• Supervise network support and client server specialists in the planning coordination and implementation of network operations maintenance repair or upgrades.
• Train staff and employ a team of network support specialists to provide advanced incident response support to the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Tier 3 network engineers in the resolution of incident tickets.
• Support operations and maintain activities and administer networks including hardware systems software applications software and all configurations.
• Develops and implements methodologies for analysis testing monitoring and support of LAN and WAN networks.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of new network technologies into the network to ensure the NOC can provide the client with robust and proactive monitoring of network health.
• Support the analysis of incident trends escalation of incidents to problems and development of solutions to resolve network issues.
• Perform configuration management functions such as updating topology drawings ensure asset management records are accurate inventory.
• Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
• Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs).
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS Juniper JUNOS Brocade and Foundry OS.
• Familiar (doesnt need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF BGP VRRP HSRP MPLS LSP GRE. Familiar with Viso and Service Now.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years masters and 4 years bachelors and 6 years associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
