Pay Rate: $54.00/hr $56.00/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg night shift contract opportunity in Portales NM. This role is based in a rural acute care hospital and includes care for adult Med/Surg pediatric Med/Surg and PCU-level patients.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and PCU patients

Care for adult and possible pediatric admissions

Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately

Work with typical 5:1 patient ratios and tele-intensivist support

Perform occasional charge nurse duties as needed

Document patient care accurately in Meditech

Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary care teams
Requirements
-
Active New Mexico Registered Nurse License required

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

AHA Basic Life Support required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support required

Med/Surg pediatric or PCU experience preferred

Charge nurse experience preferred

Bilingual skills helpful but not required

Must be able to work holiday coverage as required
