Summary:
The Regional Academic Center (RAC) Coordinator with the oversight and direction from the Regional
Assistant Dean Assistant Director of Clinical Education and RAC Liaison will coordinate the clinical
educational experience for students enrolled at Burrell College of Health Sciences at the
Regional Academic Center for their 3rd and 4th year.
The RAC coordinator will work collaboratively with the Regional Assistant Dean and the office of
Clinical Education to provide administrative support coordinating schedules evaluations and work
with preceptors. Additionally the coordinator will participate in program-related recruitment activities.
- The position reports to the Assistant Director of Clinical Education.
- This position is non-exempt.
- The salary for this position starts at $22.07/hour depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The RAC Coordinator is expected to perform the following tasks in his/her region.
- Preceptor recruitment
- Branding and networking of Burrell College at appropriate and relevant hospital and clinicalentities.
- Recruitment record keeping and reporting of preceptor relationships to the Office of ClinicalEducation.
- Ensure that proper current and relevant credentialing documents are in place.
- Coordinate andfacilitatethecompletion ofaffiliationagreements.
- Facilitate and proctor student COMAT exams including make up exams.
- Development ofRACDayat their respectivecampus.
- Facilitate thesetting upoftheregional office fortheCoordinatorandRegional Assistant Dean.
- Attendregularly scheduledteam meetings.
- Provide administrative support such asansweringtelephones;assistingstudentsemployeesand visitors; andresolvinga range of administrative problems andinquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings appointments and travel arrangements.
- Serve as a liaison with hospital/clinic andthemainBurrell Collegecampus.
- Collect and analyze data from multiplesources andprepare reports.
- Contribute tothedevelopment of marketing materials andstrategies andassistin planning and developing program activitiesandoutreachfunctions.
- Provide advice to students on a range of issues including but not limited to academic programpolicies accessibilityandfacilitatespokehousing options for students.
- Serve as a subject matter resource to other departments; represent unit/department.
- Incooperation withthe Office of Clinical Educationdevelopanddistributethird- and fourth-yearschedules.
- Overseeandcoordinate regional student rotations at theRegional Academic Center.
- Manage the evaluation process of the students facultyandrotations at theRegional Academic Center.
- Other duties may also beassigned.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize information.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word Excel andPowerPoint
- Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
- Marketing and networking experience are assets.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or three to five years of related experience preferablyin a healthcare and/or education setting.
- Personal cell phone is required.

- Approximately 90% of this positions duties require the use of a computer.
- Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
- Travel is required eligible for mileage reimbursement for required travel.
Work Schedule:
- Typically Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm
- Occasionally require evenings and weekends for special events
