Job Summary

We are seeking a NICET Level II Fire Alarm Technician to install inspect test maintain and troubleshoot fire alarm and life safety systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience strong knowledge of NFPA codes and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install program test and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
  • Perform routine inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 72 standards
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Complete and maintain accurate service reports and documentation
  • Ensure systems meet code compliance and AHJ requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians
  • Coordinate with project managers contractors and clients
  • Maintain tools equipment and inventory

Required Qualifications

  • NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on fire alarm experience
  • Working knowledge of:
    • NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm Code)
    • Basic electrical systems and wiring
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with major fire alarm systems (e.g. Honeywell Siemens Notifier Simplex)
  • State or local fire alarm licenses (if applicable)
  • OSHA safety training
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work on ladders lifts and in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand bend and walk for extended periods
